No-stress-medical-equipment-leasingIf you participate in BCBS (Blue Cross Blue Shield) Express Scripts, you may no longer be able to fill prescriptions through Walgreens.

Walgreens has notified Express Scripts that Walgreens, including their subsidiary pharmacies, will no longer participate in the Express Scripts retail pharmacy network as of January 1, 2012. This includes Walgreen’s Specialty Pharmacy.

Members who use Walgreens as their pharmacy will need to choose a different pharmacy in order to receive their prescriptions or they will be responsible for the cost of their prescriptions. BCBS of MA will be sending letters to affected accounts and members notifying them of this change and provide them with alternative pharmacies where they can go to fill their prescriptions.

Express Scripts, Inc. is the company that administers your pharmacy benefit on behalf of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
